Christmas In July

Well here we go with this one last Christmas in July Card. I made this card after receiving an e-mail from OWH Stars & Stamps for this weeks "Mid-Week Throw-down Challenge". I even decided I likes this card so much I'm going to make lots more for my Christmas Cards this year!

July's Last Color Challenge

This week is our last week of July and that means that it is the last July Color Challenge for The Greeting Farms Wild Card Wednesday Challenges.

Once again the colors seemed a bit odd but they did flow nicely when you layered them together. You will want to check out the Club Anya & Friends Blog over at www.thegreetingfarms.com to see the wonderful samples from their DT and the lovely NEW "Flirty Anya" being release on August 1st.

Seeing Double

This weeks Wednesday Challenge with All that Scraps is a "Double Pocket Card". So in this challenge we are seeing double pockets and double tags but thankfully we are not really seeing double!

Wednesday Wisdoms

Today card has a sentiment rich in Wisdom for this Wednesday morning; "Life is a matter of moments". I lost my Mother a little over a year ago and it is every little cherished moment that I remember that helps get me through each day. She was so much more than my mother she was my best friend. She would have loved this new Stampin' Up set as much as I do. I love the flowers and the verse but she would have loved the hummingbird. So this beautiful card goes out in memory of my Mother today. And to all of you I pass along the wisdom to make the every moment count because life is precious and always too short.

WooHoo What a Wonderful Week

WooHoo What a Wonderful Week this has been for me. I am so thrilled and delighted to have won not one but three challenges this week!!! Yeah I am indeed doing the "Yeah Me, I'm a Winner Dance" I am just so over-joyed!
Last Monday, for the very 1st time, I won the challenge with Karen's Doodles with the following card design.

This past Thursday I won The Greetings Farm's Scrapbook Challenge for the very 1st time, with the following 8" x 8" scrapbook layout.

And finally this Monday I won The Doodle Dragon Studio Challenge. Not only was this my 1st win with Doodle Dragon Studio's it was my very 1st entry in their Challenges.

Well needless to say this week should be another busy week entering challenges! I totally love what I do and am so blessed to be able to stay home and do just that! I know, what a lucky girl I am!!!

You have a great week and I hope to see you back here real soon.

FLOSS It!

Embroidery Floss that is; is the subject matter for The Greeting Farm's Farm Fresh Friday Challenge. All you need to do is to use some embroidery floss on your project. tie some around the project, tie on a button or stitch some on the cards. I just wrapped some around my tag and I was done and on my way to my next project. Thank goodness for an easy one this week!

Summer Fun

This weeks Scrapbook Thursday Challenge at The Greeting Farm is "Summer Fun". Since we didn't have any summer fun pictures we had to head out doors to take a few or two! I had planed to go out and fill up the wading pool to take the pictures in but it happened to be 90+ degrees and it was only 11 AM. So we settled for the sandbox, which is on our covered porch and about 10 degrees cooler. I used baja breeze and white papers to hopefully help this day feel a bit cooler as well!

Getting Up To Date

This week has been simply crazy but finally I am getting thing caught up, Yeah!! This weeks Wild Card Wednesday with The Greetings Farm is another color combination. This week's challenge is Citrus Summer, using the colors olive green, summer sun and pumpkin pie.

All That Scraps Wednesday Challenge

Again this one is late but not so late as the last one. At least I managed to get them in on the same week and in time for the challenge!!! I'm telling you the heat is really bad here but luckily my craft room is cool because we do indeed have central AC. I honestly wouldn't get a thing done if we didn't have central AC.

So All That Scraps Wednesday Challenge was "Anything BUT A Card"! In keeping with the book them I went with a tag or bookmark! I used their sweet coriander fairy.

TGF's This Weeks Monday Mania

OK so this weeks Monday Mania with The Greeting Farm's is a little late! It has been one of those weeks and too hot here in central Pennsylvania to even breath let alone do anything else but trying to stay cool. The good thing is that the AC is keeping up which was a problem a few weeks ago when we hit 100+ everyday.

Well now I have my Monday Mania Challenge done for The Greeting Farm and am ready to share it with you right here again! Their Monday Mania Challenge this week is to make a card representing your favorite book.
Choosing a favorite book was fairly easy for me. I love anything that is Dr Seuss! Since TGF had a kitty stamp set (now retired) it was easy to go with "The Cat in the Hat". Any easy fix to add the Cat's Hat and the addition of a very cute and adorable Sweet Sally and Dear Dick.

Sketching it up with Karen's doodles

This week we are sketching it up with Karen's Doodles and Challenge 20. Hope you enjoy my interpretation of this weeks sketch. I especially love the little "Fairy Fun" digi which I was the lucky winner of this week. Yeah for me! My number was drawn and I was the 2nd place winner meaning I was the lucky winner of 2 digi's from the lovely and talented Karen of Karen's Doodle.

You still have all week (until July 25th) to enter this week challenge. Just hop on over to http://karensdoodles.com/ to grab a FREEBIE digi and make a card with the fabulous sketch they give you there in the challenge blog for the United States.

So Distressing with Belles 'N Whistles

Distressing as in purposely giving that aged, tattered and worn look of vintage that we are all going crazy for right now. Because as we all know the only real distressing thing about Belles 'N Whistles is going on-line to place and order and finding out what we want is temporarily out of stock. Now that is "DISTRESSING"!

Hope you enjoy the card I made for the Belles 'N Whistles "So Distressing" challenge this week. You have until the end of the week to join in on this challenge too, so get busy and have some fun with me. Forgive me, but I'm going to be hoping they draw my number since I don't have all their stamps yet!!! No really if you win I will be extremely thrilled for you.

Have a fantastic day and join me here again soon.

Let's Play in the Sugar Bowl

Today I've been playing in the Sugar Bowl with this terrific Digi from Sugar Nellie. Today's Sugar Bowl Challenge 39 is Lilians Sketch and here is my take on that. Hope you enjoy.

If you would like to join in on this or future challenges, check out the Sugar Nellie Sugar Bowl Challenge Blog at http://www.sugarbowlblog.blogspot.com/ You still have 9 days to enter this challenge and the prize is as sweet as the sugar in the sugar bowl.

I purchased 2 of their NEW mermaid sets, a fun word set and a really cute fence stamp. Check out the cards below. I used both mermaid sets and 2 sentiments from the word set I ordered. Are they not just the cutest, especially the little otter. I love otter and he is just "Otterly Adorable"! LOL

Karen Doodles Challenge #18

I am so excited to be entering Karen Doodles Challenge this week. It is my 1st challenge with her company. I've just recently found this site and haven't been able to purchase any digi's or stamps from here yet but I do have my "wish list" ready and waiting!!!

This week is Challenge #18 and the inspiration is "Bling it Up"! Below in the card I create for this contest.

Belles 'n Whistles Challenge

This weeks Belles 'n Whistles Challenge is Glitter & Pearls!!! Two of my favorite things and probably yours too! Below is my card for this challenge for their Glitter & Pearls Contest.

Sugar Nellie Challenge #38

I am soooo excited to be entering my very 1st Sugar Nellie Contest. WooHoo!!! Needless to say in my excitement I was so exact in copying the sketch that I completely forgot that their was also a theme. Oopsy-Daisy; I have not one scallop on this card. Unless you want to get very technical and say the wings are scalloped; which will work for me...hope it works for them too!

I just found their site about 2 weeks ago and immediately I fell in love with several of their artist lines. I haven't been able to purchase any stamps from them yet but my wish list is ready! I am so thankful that last week they gave away 3 incredible digi's so I was able to use one of those to enter the contest this week YEAH!! Thanks again; I really appreciate the FREE digi's.
Check them out their store at www.FunkyKits.co.uk/catalog/ their is a link to their blog on the store site; don't forget to check that out too!
