Wow! This week completely got away from me. I've been busy, busy, busy. On May 22nd I am a vendor at a crop so I've been busy making things to sell to all the croppers. I've made scissor baubles, tags, pins, flowers and die cuts. I still have to finish these things that are a storage tin with an attached fabric bag. They are so cute; they hold your little gadgets that you need to keep close at hand like scissors, pens etc and then the bag is designed with velcro so it can be taken on and off to empty your clippings from your cropping.

I will busy this week finishing up what I can for Saturday and getting ready for my son and his wife to come home from California. He is coming home on pre-deployment leave which will make it even harder when the time comes for him to leave.

I am so sad I was not selected for the Belles 'N Whistles Design Team. Oh well, I'll just have to wait to see the NEW stamps after they come out and I will have to pay for them!

If your like the belles 'n whistles stamps then you are familiar with the talented artist who designs those fabulous stamps, Elisabeth Bell. She is now designing and selling her own digital stamps and on May 14th she introduced a NEW digital stamp, Rapunzel. Rapunzel is so absolutely adorable and beautiful. You can find her own line of digital stamps here http://www.zhibit.org/elisabethbell/blog

I will try to scan some of the tags I made to share before I head off to sell them. Today I created 6 tags using the totally NEW Fluer Anya from The Greeting Farms. She is absolutely darling and such fun to color. For today however, I have a card to share that I made this week in the midst of all the craziness. This is the HG Classy Digi from The Greeting Farms. Until next time create something incredible, follow your bliss and have and Extraordinary Day!

Design Team Application for...

Belles 'N Whistles, one of my favorite rubber stamp companies, is having an open Call for Design Team Member. Of course this being one of my very favorite rubber stamp companies I am very much hoping to be offered on of the 4 positions they have open for this Call. This would be a dream come true to be on this design team. I mentioned Belles 'N Whistles a few days ago when I put another card up on my blog. If you missed that posting I mentioned that the artist for Belles 'N Whistles is Elisabeth Bell. She is very talented and I just love all the stamps she creates for Belles 'N Whistles.
This card is made with Belles 'N Whistles "Cupcake" Stamp. I created the background with distressing inks and water on watercolor paper then added the cut out stamped imaged and embellishments. I also used this stamp on a card I posted the other day. As you can see the Belles 'N Whistles stamps are so very cute and versatile, they can be used on almost any card or project. Is it any wonder they are one of my absolute favorite rubber stamp companies!
This is "Sunshine & Apples" from Belles 'N Whistles. I placed her here on a background that I created with a single stamp, some masking, stipple brush and various memento inks. I posted another sample using this stamp sometime ago. If you missed that posting I had sewn several designer papers onto the card and then placed this cut out stamp on top of the card.
I love cutting out my images and attaching them to a variety of backgrounds on cards and other 3-D projects. It's been a while since I've made 3-D projects but as it is getting time to start making Christmas Gift for this year I will begin making such projects very soon. I will be sure to take photo of all my creations to share with you all here as always. Until next time be cleverly creative and have an extraordinary day!

Happy Mother's Day!

Hope every mother out there is having a truly wonderful day. I am having a semi-quiet and restful day. I worked on a card earlier today but other than that I'm just taking it easy. Last night my hubby took me to the Olive Garden. I ordered an appetizer (which I never do), it was so good that I ate it all and them ended up taking my meal home with me! Yeah, lunch tomorrow.

Following are the samples I sent in for the DRS Design Design Team Application. I did NOT make the design team this time.

I wasn't all that sad because just before I heard from them I found out about another Design Team Call which I am totally more excited about. I will be posting that entry here by Wednesday so come back to check out that card! Until then be cleverly creative and have and extraordinary day!

Thoughtful Thursday

This has thus far been a day of thoughtfulness and reflection. And a day of coloring images. I've gotten about 20 images partially colored so I only have to finish coloring the images and then I will be able to create lots of NEW cards to share and use.

I still haven't heard anything from DRS Designs as to the status of their Design Team Picks, so I'm still hoping for the best! Then again in has only been 2 days and I cannot remember if they had a date listed when they'd make their decision by!

I made this card yesterday. The stamp is called "Cupcake" and it is from "Belles 'N Whistles".

So if you are interested in checking out some of the wonderful artistic stamps by Elisabeth Bell check out these sites:

www.zhibit.org/elisabethbell/digital-stamps This is her own site where she offers digital stamp images for sale. She started this a few months ago and introduces a new one each month.

http://bellesnwhistlesstamps.com/index.php This is the site is in the USA and the company where the above image is from

http://www.susanascustomartandcarddesign.com/index.php This company is also in the USA

www.shop.whiffofjoy.com This company is not in the USA but does have international ordering/shipping.

There is one other company that she designs for Ladybug something and it is in Norway.

Until next time be safe and full of creativity and have another Extraordinary Day!

Terrific Tuesday

Wow! Did our weather ever switch since yesterday. Today is so beautiful, I wish everyday could be like today.

So I'm sure you are all wondering what I decided. I decided that it would be better to follow the rules and directions given and hope that the company with the DT call checks out my blog to see my additional work. So her are the other two cards that I did not submit. I cannot wait to show you the 3 projects I did submit.

When I find out about making the design team or not I will let you all know and post the projects I submitted at that time. I can't show them yet just in case I need to do something else with them 1st as a part of the application process or in case they need to showcase them 1st. Have no idea since I've not been a part of a DT before.

Monday Morning Blues

Talk about Monday Morning Blues. It rained all night here, so much in fact that we have flood warnings in affect. So needless to say it is still raining and dreary and just plain Blue, Oh well, good for me I can hide in my craft room and create, create, create!!! yeah

So here, as promised, are the samples that did not make my cut to be send off for the DT Call. I still have 2 cards that I'm not displaying today that are over the 3 projects asked for. I'm debating whether I should send them or not. That would be 5 project submissions instead of 3. Two of the individuals, I polled to help me choose, chose these two plus one more and the other two choose the other 3 projects.

Well the DT Call Application has to be in tomorrow so I have 24 hours to decide what to do. If I decide not to send the additional 2 you will see them here tomorrow. If I decide to send them then I'll find something else to show you here. I have lots of B-day cards to start working on so I'm sure to have a project to show you!

Until tomorrow enjoy these samples and get inspired, be creative and have an extraordinary day!

Make & Teke this week at Stamp Express

So this weeks, May 2nd, sweet little design is again for Mother's Day or Thinking of You if you prefer. The lovely little hummingbird is a FREE digital stamp that I found somewhere on-line. I cannot remember where or I would be sure to note exactly where.

I used prisma color pencils to color and rubbing alcohol to blend the colors. I find that I prefer the rubbing alcohol to blend much better than gamasil or turpenoid. You will use whatever the store has set up for you to use this week. I've also used a Happy Mother's Day computer generated label on the sample. You will have a choice of using either Happy Mother's Day or Thinking of You.

Make sure you get into the Stamp Express this week to get in on this Make & Take.

Check back here soon for peeks at those sample cards I decided not to send in for the DT Call. And later when I find out either way the sample projects that I did send in! Meanwhile be happy, creative and have an extraordinary day!

Sweet Sweet Saturday

If you have already been to The Greeting Farm site at http://www.thegreetingfarm.com/ you already know just how sweet this Saturday is. Their NEW Fleur Anya is just the sweetest little thing and we cannot forget the rest of the release with Cuddle Anya and Grammie & Gramps. Plus the introduction of their very 2st creeper crew, Thursday. Not near as creepy as one would take by the name just a new line that simple depict the attitudes of teenagers today.

I don't have any great pics to share today but if you check out club Anya at TGF; they are having their introduction Blog Hop. So if you haven't already; hop on over their and check it out. As always their big Bog Hop winner will will received all the NEW Stamps!

Sorry no pics today but I promised a whole lot as soon as I decide which ones I'm sending off for the DT Call. I created 10 cards and 1 8"x 8: scrap book page and 1 tag for this. From these creations I must pick only 3 projects to send, so you see my dilemma! I will show you what I do not send, in the next day or so. Then the ones I send in, I will show you after I find out the news on the DT winners.

Until next time get creative and have and Extraordinary day!
